Basic Monthly Budget (printable)
If you're looking just to dip your toe into budgeting then this monthly printable budget is for you! It's a blank budgeting template that you can use for any month, and no expenses are listed so you can customize it to list out exactly what you want.
The overall format of the budget does use the pay yourself first model as it's the first category after income. Check out here how to use this technique to save money each and every month! After savings, comes your debt, then your must spend items (i.e., insurance, gas, basic groceries, etc.). After that, then comes your additional expenses (i.e., subscription boxes, eating out, etc.). This is the last category, so you know if you run out of money while adding up your spending, any items in this category need to be cut first.

Another form that might be helpful is an expense tracker, to help you make sure you've got all your utilities and bills paid up. And a financial progress tracker, so you can make sure you're on an upwards trend! Sometimes, looking back and seeing how far you have come is the best motivator!
